What Is the Porsche Assured Buy-Back Programme?
The new programme allows an eligible customer to establish the future value of their vehicle at the time of purchase. Instead of relying entirely on market conditions when the vehicle is eventually sold, the customer can choose an agreed assured value under the terms of the programme.
Porsche India has introduced the initiative in association with a preferred partner. The product is structured to provide protection against changes in the used-car market by covering the difference between the pre-agreed assured value and the actual resale value realised at the end of the applicable ownership period, subject to the programme's terms and conditions.
Up to 70% Assured Value After Three Years
One of the major features of the programme is the option of an assured future value of up to 70% after 36 months. The exact value available to a customer will depend on the eligible vehicle and the applicable terms of the programme.
The coverage begins from the vehicle's sale invoice date and remains active for three years. Once the coverage period is completed, the pre-agreed value can provide the owner with a clearer starting point when considering the sale of their existing vehicle or moving to another model.
Which Porsche Models Are Eligible?
The Assured Buy-Back Programme is available to eligible private buyers of selected Porsche models in India. The initial list includes the Cayenne, Macan Electric and Taycan.
| Eligible Model | Powertrain Category |
|---|---|
| Porsche Cayenne | Luxury SUV |
| Porsche Macan Electric | Fully Electric SUV |
| Porsche Taycan | Fully Electric Sports Sedan |
The inclusion of both combustion-engined and fully electric models means the programme covers buyers across multiple parts of Porsche India's current product portfolio.
More Flexibility for the Next Porsche
A major objective of the new initiative is to make the ownership cycle more predictable. Knowing an agreed future value in advance can help customers better understand the potential value of their current vehicle when planning their next purchase.
This could be particularly useful for owners who prefer to upgrade their vehicle after a few years. Rather than having the final resale value determined entirely by future market conditions, eligible customers have an additional level of certainty built into their ownership plan.
The programme also supports Porsche India's broader focus on improving the ownership experience beyond the initial vehicle purchase.
Reducing Uncertainty Around Resale Values
Vehicle resale values can change due to market conditions, product updates and other factors. Porsche India's new offering is designed to provide a clearer financial framework by setting an assured future value at the beginning of the ownership journey.
At the end of the three-year coverage period, the programme provides eligible customers with the benefit of the pre-determined future value, subject to its terms and conditions. This can make it easier to evaluate ownership costs and future upgrade decisions.
Part of a Broader Ownership Strategy
With the launch of the Assured Buy-Back Programme, Porsche India is adding another customer-focused solution to its ownership ecosystem. The initiative is intended to provide more confidence and flexibility for customers while supporting a smoother transition into their next vehicle.
The programme is currently offered for eligible Cayenne, Macan Electric and Taycan buyers, with the final assured value and coverage subject to the applicable vehicle, customer eligibility and programme conditions.
